Ajmal TOOFANY

Ajmal joined LEGIS and Partners in March 2023. He was called to the Bar of England and Wales by the Honorable Society of the Middle Temple in July 2022, following the completion of the Bar Training Course at the University of the West of England. He was consequently admitted to the Mauritian Bar in January 2023.

Ajmal started his career as a legal assistant at Jurisconsult Chambers in 2012. Prior to undertaking the Bar Training Course, Ajmal worked as a legal research officer for a period of 10 years both at the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) and at the Attorney-General’s Office. During his professional journey, he gathered extensive legal skills in research, analysis, drafting and case preparation, covering various areas of law.

Ajmal is the holder of a “Maîtrise en Droit Social” and a “Maîtrise en Droit des Affaires”, which he obtained from Université Lille 2 Droit et Santé.
